As we know that Corona Virus is spreading in the Whole World.Doctor's world wide are striving hard to fight with this dangerous disease but cannot find its exact treatment .Like other countries Pakistani doctors are also struggling to find its treatment.
Omar Farooq Chief Executive Officer of Ayub Medical College (AMC) and professor of Ayub teaching hospital (ATH) Abbottabad said he has started work and hopes for success. Professor Omar said his purpose is to find its effectiveness by testing patients with serious and low symptoms of corona virus only with hydroxy chloroquine or azthromycin. The disease is taking the lives of people dangerously and its nearly 23 trials are currently underway and some encouraging results have been recorded from Wuhan, the center of the Epidemic, China.
This medicine was approved by the US food and Drug administration (FDA) for the treatment of malaria but its effectiveness in the treatment of corona virus is a question mark.Due to this many countries including US , India and China where this virus came from for the first time are running these trials. Professor Omar who did his PHD in public health said that the disease is new so research is done to closely monitor corona virus patients and their treatment and to know the effectiveness of the medicines. Shortly after the outbreak of epidemic disease in China treatment of corona virus is demanded from around the world. More than 200000 people have been killed so far due to this disease.
Professor Omer said that there is no cure yet but we believe our trial will be successful and Pakistan will become a country remembered in the history of medicines.He said that a group of patients will be given a combination of two medicines including hydrooxy chloroquine and azthermicin while the other group will be given only hydrooxy chloroquine and the third group will undergo treatment with conventional.We are taking the consent of every patient involved in the trial and informing them of the report along with the signatures and their information will be sent to them.Professor Omar said that a total of 15 doctors working in different facials in AMC and ATH .Our doctors are working hard to find its solution.We will give Pakistan an Honour in the entire world.
