Pakistan is such a country in which the future of Football is not so bright as Cricket and hockey but the government of Pakistan is doing something for the progress of Football in Pakistan with the help of FIFA. FIFA always selects its chairman of the required country by itself but a month ago Pakistan selected Ashfaq Hussain Shah as the president of Pakistan Football Federation on the basis of Elections done in 2018.Q7DmURbJ
He was selected by the Supreme Court as he was leading a group of Football officials. In 2021 FIFA banned Pakistan Football Federation due to the interference of third party. FIFA was keen to give the authority to Mr. Haroon Malik ( Chairman PFF Normalising Committee). But the PFF house did not do so which lead it to a suspension order by FIFA to Pakistan Football Federation. The decision to suspend PFF was assisted by the hostile takeover which is the biggest violation of statutes of FIFA .
FIFA has also issued a letter to Pakistan Football Federation as a warning to avoid third party interference. Moreover it is also written in the letter that PFF house should send the matter to the Bureau of the Council for decision. But the PFF house completely avoid the letter and the warning given by FIFA. As a result FIFA and Bureau of the Council for decision decided to suspend Pakistan Football Federation. PFF was also suspended in 2017 by FIFA.
The Captain of Women Football team Hajra Khan was very disappointed and dishearten due to suspension of football in Pakistan only because of negligence of PFF management. Many other people who are serving themselves to play football also feel dishearten as it was their only way of earning. Pakistan had to take part in SAFF championship 2021 and Pakistan Football Team was also preparing for it but FIFA suspend Pakistan in the field of football.
Women's Football team has to play Asia Cup qualifier and also they has to participate in youth level competitions but football is banned by FIFA in Pakistan. No doubt Ashfaq Hussain Shah and their team can handle any situation but they do not recognize to FIFA which lead PFF in suspension . In addition they also cannot recognize Pakistan team even at international level . Due to suspension the goals and records made by the players will not be accepted World Wide which is a great loss to the PFF and also the players.
It is only due to the ignorance of PFF management that the players has to suffer. They were also suffered a lot in past. On this Fahmeeda Mirza (Minister of Inter Provincial coordination) officially declare the guilt and told" it should not have happened". Moreover the government shuld resolve this matter by table talks, they should make clear to FIFA about the recognition of anybody. It should not done by the third party it is only FIFA that recognizes anybody for chairmanship.
Football is the second most popular sport in the world. In 2006 FIFA did a big count in Pakistan which makes almost 2.9 million football players. About 30 lac players in Pakistan who can play football. In 2014 football World cup was viewed by almost 14 million people in Pakistan. There are almost 5 countries in Asia which take part in FIFA. Many players feel disappointed when the news of suspension of football in Pakistan broke.
